Happy Feet is now well enough to take his first swim at the Wellington Zoo in New Zealand today. The zoo attendant had to give him a bit of a push. Perhaps she isn’t aware that penguins often stand at the water’s edge timing their entry to be sure there are no hungry leopard seals quietly waiting to grab them up for a game of cat and mouse or a thrashing before lunch.
The world remains fascinated with this bird that has survived an awesome journey and now its encounter with the unfamiliar world free of ice.
